Does anyone know if one can use the QF Lounge at BNE whilst waiting for an EK flight at BNE?

Does anyone know if one can use the QF Lounge at BNE whilst waiting for an EK flight at BNE?

The QF Website says the BNE Lounge is open until around 1am. EK's flight is at 0245, thus would I be allowed to transfer to the EK Lounge, or have to sit in the departing area for the 1.5 odd hrs.

Qantas' website is saying that both their international lounges at Brisbane close at 2330?

In any case, yes you can use either the QF or EK lounge and shouldn't have any problems moving between them (especially if one is closing up for the night).

This maybe true due to the runway refurb gong on at BNE until Sept.  It use to be a 0100 close.

If for arguments sake it stays at 2330, does this mean that QC members would be welcome to EK Lounge as the QF one would be closed?

I was hoping so, because otherwise it would be diappointng, considering the 0245 EK departure is a major flight for Subcontinent Flights and other parts of Asia due to its Stop in SIN.

Ah, you didn't mention that you are referring to QC members, which is obviously a different situation.

I would be giving QF a call to clarify their policy in this situation. The access rules are pretty clear so don't get your hopes up, but its always worth a try.

If QF says no then I recommend you try again at the airport. Just explain your sittuation to the people at the EK Lounge and you might get lucky.
