On an overnight flight from SIN to MEL I notice that SQ are planning to use A330 and/or B773, none of which have the flat beds in Biz class. This is too bad. From the two options, which is the most acceptable for an overnight rest?
SIN-MEL, SQ227 (the earlier of the two overnight flights) is an A380. In the other direction, SQ218 is usually a 777-300ER, which have the same seats as the A380 (just a bit wider from memory).
The regional 777-300 and the A330 seats are identical. The only differences are the slightly wider aisles and larger overhead bins on the 777.
Normally SQ227 is on an A380 but not a period of about a week (as far as I can see) in August when the A380 is replaced by the A330. I usually take the A380 flights but on this occasion have to choose between the A330 and B773.

I recently flew BNE-SIN on the SQ A330. Found the seats very uncomfortable in any position, and horrible in sleep position (at an angle). Did not fancy the overnight return on these seats, so have changed my return flight to a Qantas 747 with Skybed 2. Meal service(s) were rather ungenerous too
I booked a couple of months ago SIN-MEL on an A380 (never been on one before) for the 12th-13th but when I checked the booking later, I saw it had been changed to an A330. About to rebook to go via Sydney instead for this reason.
