Currently I am in my VFF benefit period which ends early next year. I will meet the current status and eligible flights requirements by 1 October 2025 to maintain my status - thanks to a number of flights with SQ. However reviewing the new look VFF app, it states that I need to meet the new rules of at least 50% status credits being earned on VA flights to maintain status by my review date next year.
So it appears that even though I will have met the current status maintain rules prior to the change date, as my review date is after that date, that doesn’t matter as I still have to have earn at least 50% on VA flights, is this the correct understanding of the new rules?
I'm not sure the answer to your question sorry, but I do have to say I am incredibly confused by everything VA is doing right now. Changing their announcements and then all of their app UX at the same time is VERY confusing.
In their app i just want to see a couple of basic things - my points activity (from flights etc) and my status and what needs to be earnt to move up. Instead now I need 2 apps (Virgin & Velocity) and it then moves me from one screen to another, takes me to a web screen, makes me login all for some really basic info... Pull your sh1t together VA, this aint that hard.
