When traveling I use the Hilton or Intercontinental chains as my preferred hotels because they both have executive lounges,and free wi fi ,are there any other hotel chains I should now look at that have Similar facilities .travel is mainly Europe and USA

I use Hyatt Gold Passport and they are excellent. Well worth considering due to benefits too. Hyatt has a large variety of property types throughout the USA

Yes, there are executive floors (club roooms) with lounges (most are very nice) - however most of the Hyatt's I stay at are the Grand Hyatts.  (second highest tier of property below Park Hyatt)

Grand Hyatt and Hyatt Regency generally have lounges, Park Hyatts do not.

Popular chains in the US are also Marriott, Sheraton, & Radisson.  Some have club rooms and floors depending on the city etc.  Hope it helps!

I agree with Rebecca. Mariott is a great option for USA/Europe.

Also have a look at the Ritz-Carlton hotel chain. Very nice properties with plush exec floors etc. They are a little pricy but you pay for what you get. They also have a VERY good loyalty scheme 'Ritz-Carlton Rewards' with complimentary upgrades and meals regularly.

Although all is personal preference and travel pattern dependent, it is widely regarded that Starwood is one of the chains with better perks (as compared to Hilton, Hyatt and Marriott when considering the #nights you need to stay to get top perks as well as availability of properties worldwide). If you make it up to Platinum status (50 nights or 25 stays) you will always get lounge access (in Sheraton and Westin hotels where available) and a host of other perks. Free suite upgrades, guarenteed suite upgrade certificates, welcome amenities, free wifi, late check out etc. etc. Four Points, Aloft, Luxury Collction, St Regis are also part of the chain and although benefits may vary, some St Regis properties give you free drinks at happy hour in a bar in lieu of a lounge. Same goes for Luxury Collection hotels.
