I'm posting to correct a factual inaccuracy that I have been party to. The BA First Lounge Dining at LHR T3 is only open to OWE in the mornings and afternoon before 6.30pm. After 6.30pm the First Lounge Dining Room is only accessible to First Class passengers and QF Chairman's Lounge members. Other guests in the BA First Lounge are able to order from the same menu but will have to eat at the many tables around the lounge (just not the dining room). Previously I indicated the dining room is open to all OWE without any caveats. That was incorrect. Hope this clarifies the matter.

I always suspected this was the case, however I have always waited to eat on board my QF flight when in this lounge as the food is far superior. The offering in the lounge is rather average and has nothing on SYD/MEL QF First lounges.

I've eaten in their First Lounge Dining Room, but it has very few benefits over sitting in the general lounge area. Yes, you get to sit at a table, and are served by a waiter from the menu.
However, the menu in the Dining Room is a mere subset of what is available outside in the general lounge area. And of course the drinks selection is the same. You may as well eat with everyone else, and pick and choose what you like.
Or as Joshb says, the food on QF2 & 10 is superior, but you'll have to wait a long time for it as they don't leave till quite late.

Agreed! Thanks Joshb and Phil. Although nothing beats kippers and poached eggs for breakfast at the BA lounge! Back to basics is best. BA should get Delia Smith as a consultant for the food offerings in the lounge. There is a lot to be said for comfort food.

is the BA Galleries First Lounge dining room accessible after 6:30pm via a CX First boarding pass (flight CX254)?

Also, is the menu contains some of the selections in the Concorde Room dining menu?
