DOMESTIC BUSINESS LOUNGE ACCESS

Hi,

I am flying SYD - OOL in J tomorrow, I was reading that Lounge access is determined on your FF status. Is that right or will I receive lounge access?

No, if you're in J you will have access to the J lounge regardless of status.

Martin, you might be confused by literature pertaining to international travel with code-share partners.

I can second watson374 and confirm that you will have access to the Business Class lounge. After you exit the security screening lines, turn left and within a few steps, the sliding glass doors to the Business lounge (assuming you are flying Qantas) are on the left. Take the escalator up and the Business lounge will be behind you.

Thank you guys. I am flying with VA. I am sure that I would have some type of priorty ie fast security and lounge access.
I rang Virgin and they couldent tell me if I had access of not.

Yes, flying VA you do have a fast security at Sydney. If you have no bags, head straight to the premium entry to the right of the terminal doors as you face the terminal from the car park. Inside those doors you will find two security lanes (where the guards actually smile and engage in conversation) immediatey after which, is the door to the lounge.

If you do have bags, as I always do, check in at the priority desk, then head outside and go in through the premium entry anyway.

If you prefer to go through the terminal, you can try to make the most of the public lanes "Ryan Bingham style" (Watch Up in the Air to see what I mean).

If you're in J, and have no status this still is all standard stuff. Flying J will earn you more status credits (80 for your trip return) which will help you get to Silver faster.

At OOL, I have no idea. I've never been there. I know there's a lounge, but that's all I can tell you. Here's an article David wrote with lots of pictures

Thank You tronek

I get my VA flights credited to my Delta Skymiles Account, but thank you for the tips :-)
