Are there ever any flights from Rome to DXB with a QF flight number? Status credits are the key haha! :)

If you are hoping to earn the max FF mileage, nope.

You can go to QF website and try.

If BA flies it, you will earn QFF, but very low.

On EK flights, you earn QFF, but no SC (which is of more importance than QF FF miles these days).

Just like (as I mentioned) on another post, HKG to PEK and VV, CX flies it, but there is not a QF coding, so the flier will earn less QF FF miles flying that route.

Yes I believe QF codeshares on all three daily flights:

QF8095 (EK95)

QF8097 (EK97)

QF8099 (EK99)

Would recommend 97 or 95 where possible- the A380 flights.

Wouldn't a better option be to fly to LHR on QF code and metal and backtrack down to FCO on BA? On intra-European flights you're not penalised so much when flying with partner airlines. From a points and SC perspective flying via LHR makes more sense, as DXB/FCO is such a short hop. Longer flights = more SC = more points.

I tried FCO to DXB on QF website, it won't allow.  As you would have seen, the orange bar comes up top of the booking page.

Flying EK does not earn QF SC, but if you are happy to go via LHR, you will earn some (small) via OW.

But I tried SYD to FCO via DXB, through ticket, and there is a QF flight number there.

So to sum it, its most likely there is a QF flight number when the FCO to DXB flight is linked with a flight to/from SYD, but FCO to DXB by itself, no.

I booked FCO to DXB and then to SIN with QF designations this week on QF website.  Was part of a return journey Oz to Europe.  Had to hit the View Alternatives button on the booking page and scroll through a few options to get the right combination.  I made sure that the flights were A380s as I'm not too enthused with the prospect of cramming into a 777.

Like a broken DVD, if you book a through ticket from FCO to DXB to anywhere else, yes, you can snag a QF flight number on the FCO to DXB sector, but try that alone and see what happens.

Don't know if the OP is fly from DXB to anywhere else though.  If yes, then as mentioned above, you can get a QF flight number from FCO to DXB, if DXB is the last stop, unless you fly BA, you wont find it.  QF flight number between FCO and DXB that is.
