Does anyone know of any Status match programs running from Qantas to Star Alliance. QF FF member with status and went to try get a match on Star Alliance.

Start with United. They're not a great airline, but they have one of the better programs in Star.

My advice.... Try, try and try again!
1) Call first, if you get no, try again another time
2) Paint the pciture as to why the Airline should award you status i.e travel in that area or upcoming new travel to that region
3) Provide evidence of past travel (statement etc. obviously business / first is more favourable)
4) Flattery doesn't hurt, maybe mention your friend uses them and has strongly recommended the service
5) If all avenues fails, try another airline
I believe it's regularly done but seldom advertised. Have a look at statusmatcher.com for specifics.
