Considering Cathay from SYD-PEK in Y (main sectors being 333 on the outbound, 777ER on the way back). Just wanted to confirm they've done away with the old fixed shell-style seats? Are the new Y seats cradle/reclining style in alignment with the competition? Can anyone provide any feedback on these seats (i'm 185cm, and in general find most YC seats comfortable, especially the cradle/recline style found on QF metal). Thanks in advance!

Yes, they have the new seats that actually recline properly.

slim,

On CX's A333 and B77W the Y shell seats are well and truly history.

Try and snag 39A or K on the A330, you don't have to be a premium frequent flyer to grab these if you're early! You are the first in Y to be served F&B + have extra legroom due to the bulkhead infront.
