I'm a QF gold member travelling in J on an EK flight, with my friend and his 10YO kid in Y. We're all on EK flight number, could I guest them both into the QF lounge?

How well do you know his kid? If the lounge dragon says no, you could drop your mate off at the EK lounge and then take the kid to the QF lounge.

Yeah, that wouldn't work if you don't know the kid well. I guess you could ask the lounge dragons, and if the QF dragons say no, try the EK side.
