Anyone heard anything about Virgin lounge in Townsville airport developement. Qantas have decided to close theirs at 11.00 am each day for a few hours, rang to enquire what happens when waiting for the 11.35 flight and what if it's delayed ( like most days) they advised the lounge would be shut at 11.00 and guests are kicked out. Nice

What 11:35 flight are you talking about?

If its the cairns flight then that only happens on some days and thats your answer

Why does the qantas closing time have anything to do with Virgin anyway cause the virgin lounge is at least a year away

11.35 daily to Brisbane, and no to the Bali flights, they will close when last Qantas flight departs

Oh I see your saying they will kick people out bang on 11 yeh well thats not the case

The QF Lounge will always be open 1 hour prior to any Qantas and Qantas Link flights from Townsville which means the time online is incorrect and you'll just have to ignore that

As for the Jetstar flights I did not realise they were that late 10:55pm is quite late

The Lounge will always be open at least 1:30 mins prior to any QF depature on the list above

Also you have never been kicked out and they won't kick anyone out until the flight is ready for boarding

The lounge will always be open 1 hour prior to boarding for all Qantas and Qantas Link Flights

On a side note it will be interesting to see if they accept JQ pax off to Bali once that flight begins
