I am stopping over in Madrid Airport for 6 hours and I was wondering if any of the lounges offer a one-time-payment entry. I am at a status level just below which permits me entry and after research I haven't found anything - but thought I would ask the question in any case.

Are you looking for a lounge in any particular terminal?

There are multiple lounges operated by Aena at Madrid Airport that allow pay-in.

It depends on where you are flying off to after your connection.

Each Terminal has seperated Schengen and Non-Schengen Areas.

Here's a link to direct you to which lounge you should go to

Hope that helps

Check the AENA website (it is the company that runs Spain's airports). You can buy passes in advance, or at the door, for all AENA lounges at MAD.
