Hi, I will be flying later this month to the U.S. (LA, SFO, ORD & JFK) after a very long time and heard some stuff about the TSA stealing items.

I will be putting in some security measures and observe the bags but is the officer stealing situation really that bad or is it overly exaggerated?

I know there are good, and bad people and that not everyone is a thief but I wanted to know just how likely it is that my stuff will be stolen, I have probably heard exaggerated statements but wanted to see what the experts say :) Thank you everyone, have a good day!

Of all the millions of bags that go through security in the US it is very unlikely that yours is to be taken. If you really want to be safe, you could think of putting a spare apple device in it and use the Find my Iphone app to track it. The TSA officers (If they have taken it) would most likely bring it home as it is something valuable and could track it down from there.

Just a suggestion
