I wrote recently about the trouble I was having using miles with Qatar with their partner airlines. They made bookings for me, in one case taking 5 days to respond, but gave me no choice over times or flights for travel. When I requested an alternative they emailed back saying they could not change anything. They asked me to contact local offices on their website all of which were overseas to pay relevant taxes. The local office did not respond to phone calls. As a result I have cancelled my membership of Qatar Airlines FF Scheme. Very disappointing as they are a good airline but I will take my business elsewhere in future.

Ok then! But I've called Qatar's local offices in Australia...
