Does anyone know how many international A330's Qantas has refurbished at present? I'm flying business from Bangkok in April and hoping to try out the new product, but not getting my hopes up. Sorry, but not quite sure where I can get this info! Thanks! :)

The following have been refurbished -

A330-200s - (9) VH-EBA, EBB, EBC, EBJ, EBK, EBV, EBS, EBF, EBE...9 remaining (EBD is next in the Hangar for refurbishment)

A330-300s - (7) VH-QPA, QPB, QPC, QPD, QPE, QPF, QPI...3 remaining (QPH is being refurbished as we speak)

THe Bangkok route is flown mainly by the -300s. So 8/10, I say you have a pretty good chance being on a refurbished one.

If you have already booked you should be able to tell when you select your seat if it is the new configuration. Of course it is always subject to a last minute change but if the seat map only has on down the window sides then you have the new seats.

emirates777, how about 7 out of 9 as the odds? With 7 done and one out of service for refurb only leaves 9 possible a/c to operate the route (plus -200's if subbed)

AusFlyer.

Well spotted and I agree maybe it should have been worded that way. From a statistical point of view, both scenarios result in a similar outcome - 80% vs 78% probability. Much of a muchness! :)

By April I would expect all 9 active 330-300s refurbed, with the final one undergoing maintenance, so a pretty good chance I suspect.
