I recently arrived back in Australia from the USA and noticed my i-94 travel history wasn’t updated to show my departure. My worry is I’m still considered “in the USA”, potentially causing problems when I re-enter. Has anyone has this problem or know how to get it corrected? The I-94 travel history is supposed to be updated automatically from airline passenger manifests.

I am not sure how accurate the i-94 is.  Looking at mine (I only got back from the USA on Monday) recent trip is showing fine however previous trip has me coming into the USA twice on the same day and trip before that has me coming into the USA but does not show departure (same situation as you)

Thanks AnthonyvB for your info. I called CBP's ESTA hotline and the guy assured me the travel history info is for indicative purposes only and isn't used by officials. There might also be a lag in updating the system.

Interestingly, the I-94 FAQ states that " If you are departing by air or sea, your departure is recorded electronically. There may be times when this information does not appear accurate."
