Up to yesterday, I could see 4x VA business reward seats from Christchurch to Sydney via Brisbane on a date in Jan 2017.

Just this morning, I finally got my points credited but now the flights are gone. Not only my date, but it seems all award availability from Christchurch has disappeared in January 2017, when there were lots of seats just the day before.

Does anyone know what is going on and if I can expect the reward seats to come back? Thanks!

They may well have been redeemed by a family. Or they were taken off reward inventory because enough revenue seats have been sold to render the flight "selling out". Or it was an error, because that seems a lot of reward seats on a 737 - especially in a busy month for family travel. Or there is no availability any more on the BNE-SYD sector - try just CHC-BNE, you should be able to still buy/redeem cheaply in domestic economy to get to SYD on VA or QF.

Also, try this just in case. Log out of your Velocity account. Then remove all VA cookies and caches from your browser (Safari-Preferences-Privacy-Details-virginaustraliaxxxxx-Remove). Then log in again to Velocity and see if J seats reappear. Good luck.

Just very frustrating that plans can just change like that - I really did not anticipate award availability to dry up the very day I was able to book it :)
