I can't seem to book Qantas flights through aadvantage

And what is aadvantage? :-P

Have you looked on trunk routes like SYD-MEL or BNE-SYD first before looking for long haul flights. QF award availability is minimal on the best of days.

The award availability is there, when you select a Qantas flight it then flashes up that this flight is no longer available. I can select British Airways flights through Aadvantage no problem at all. Anybody else having these problems?

I have previously used Aadvantage to book a Qantas business ticket from Japan to Brisbane so I am wondering why I can not now.

Have you called AA to check?

Have you checked on expertflyer to see if inventory is really available?

Yes we called AA and they say it is unavailable for business but available for economy. I am perplexed as the website shows available for business with the appropriate mileage cost.

Sometimes there is a time lag. It happens from time to time. Best to check with expertflyer and triangulate using BA, Asia Miles and JL accounts to see if inventory is available.
