About to go platinum on VA for the first time. My activity date is approx. 3 day before the assessment date (the date where parts of my points drop off). I should be granted Platinum, right? I don't see it as my fault that VA are slow at processing FF status credits...
Yes, you will gain platinum provided you achieved 1000 status credits prior to your review date. It may take several weeks for your profile/status to be upgraded however. In some cases Velocity will also waive a small shortage on status credits to elevate you to the next level although it is discretionary and not guaranteed.
