VA Mel/Syd to LAX J class- anyone had a refitted aircraft?

Anyone had any luck with the refitted aircraft? I'm looking at VA1 or VA7 on 24 June and both are still showing the old configuration on the VA site. Anyone actually flown one yet?

Thanks Chris - yes, it looks great - really keen to get on one, just not sure which flight is more likely to have the new fit out! Last report I can find says 1 of the 5 planes has been refitted with others 'from May', am wondering how many have got it and whether the Syd-LAX or the BNE-LAX is more likely to have it! (makes no difference from me as I'm melbourne based...)

Given the current rotation, the refitted plane will likely be on VA1 on the 23rd and 25th. There's a slim chance another plane will be complete by then but my money will be the old config on your date.

Looks like they are predicting the second frame to come online on the 28th or 30th which will mean every VA1/2 will be 'The Business' - assuming no mech issues. If you are coming back you'll have a fair chance on VA2. That said, the first frame was weeks later than initial VA estimates. 

That's very helpful - I will change my return to the VA2 to give myself the best shot! Cheers

Second frame is already online - both VH-VPH and VH-VPD complete. VH-VPF in Lake Charles at present and due out towards the end of June.

so (this may be showing my lack of knowledge) but I think there are 5 that fly that route, so my chances have increased to 3/5?! And possibly 4/5 by the end of June? I'll take those odds! Cheers

On VA7 tomorrow morning and got the refit! Nice suprise!

VA don't fly to LAX from MEL. They fly from BNE and SYD.
