I am travelling on a 737-800 and are wondering if all the aircraft had been fitted out with IFE?

You will have aprox 40% chance of a seatback IFE aircraft, and a 60% chance of a QStreaming to own device IFE aircraft. I suggest you download the Qantas Entertainment App to a device you may have with you if you end up with a QStreaming aircraft, (and its handy to have it downloaded anyway, for future flights if needed). QStreaming aircraft also still have the communal sreens which plays dedicated progarmming throughout the flight. NOTE there are only 2 aircraft currently flying which ONLY has the communal option. you would be unlucky to get one of those.

I tried to explain as best i can without waffling on too much lol

I found this a very succinct and even-useful-to-me (despite not asking the question) reponse. Thank you :)

At this stage it seems you are on VH-VYH, which has the Q-Streaming available to your own device, as well as the overhead screens which will play the news and some short programs :)

As undertheradar said, always best to have the app downloaded on your devices and leave it there just in case, but for todays flight you will need it :)

Have a great flight!
