4 of us are travelling with Virgin Australia from BNE to LAX.

I'm a Plat Velocity Member, everyone else is red.

I'm travelling in Business with my partner, but 2 of our friends are travelling in economy.

Do both my partner and I get a guest to take with us into the lounge?  I know I can take one person in with my velocity membership, but I was unsure if travelling in business gave that bonus too.

Thanks!

No unfortunately you cant bring in any guests on a Business class ticket unless you have an infant under 2 years of age.

"Business class guests are not entitled to any guest allowance, unless travelling companions (which include children aged two or over) are also booked on a business class ticket. Infants under two years old are exempt."

Your platinum status does allow you to bring in 1 guest regardless of cabin flown for BNE-LAX flights at the Air NZ lounge BNE and Star Alliance Lounge LAX. If you were flying trans tasman, your usual allowance of 3 guest would apply just like at VA lounges across Australia.

It doesnt hurt to ask though when you arrive at the lounge since its just to get one person in. There have been reports of them allowing kids and J class passengers' partners in. I assume its at the discretion of the lounge agent. A purchasable guest pass may be extended if capacity permits and agent wishes to offer at time of entry.
