Hi guys,

Flying J from SYD-BKK and just wanted to check-off my lounge options and whether anyone has any preferences based on their own experience. Obviously in SYD I'll have access to the QF J lounge. And I imagine also the EK & CX lounges in both SYD and BKK. Also CIP lounge in BKK. Are there any others which I would have access to? Anyone have any preferences?

CX lounge in BKK would be the preference, over EK with CIP well behind.

Not sure of your QF status but don't think QF J gets you EK lounge access in SYD or BKK under COS Class of Service only. If QF Gold/Plat then no issues.

Qantas business class gives you the option of using the Emirates lounge at Sydney, which in its favour over the Qantas lounge has champagne and a wider variety of food that's individually plated - although Accor's management has really seen the Qantas lounge lift its game over the past few years. If time allows, try both (and also try the Qantas' lounge gelato, available from noon).

In Bangkok the Cathay Pacific lounge is definitely the go-to, although it tends to be a bit of a walk: but it's one of the newest ones, same relaxed contemporary style as at The Pier, Haneda, Taipei and soon London. Noodle bar, tended drinks bar, comfortable seating and being relatively new it's in excellent nick.

Anyone know the opening hours of the EK lounge at BKK? Thanks in advance.
