London arrivals lounge before Qantas Chauffeur Drive?

I flew to LHR last November and rang Qantas prior to the trip to re-arrange the car to take me to the city as I had a meeting near Heathrow when I landed. No problem, I met the driver at the arrival hall at 3.00pm and he dropped me to the hotel. If you don't ask, you don't get!

I arrived on QF1 to LHR this am and also wanted to use the lounge prior to the trip in the car, so I emailed [email protected] 24 hours before leaving (48 hours. Before arriving) telling them my flight no, and QFF number and requesting a delayed pickup of 90 minutes when I got to LHR I went to the Qantas chauffeur desk in T3 on arrival at 7:20 am to check the email had got through as I had no reply and was informed that my car was booked in for 09:00 so I trotted off to the AA lounge for a shower and a bite. I returned to the Qantas chauffeur desk at 08:40 to find the man behind the desk just about to leave. I told him I was ready for the car, he called the driver who was 10  minutes away and advised he would call me on arrival. The desk man also gave me the drivers mobile just in case. So I went back up to the lounge to relax until called and advised to meet the driver at the desk. It worked pretty well. I would advise that you approach the desk on arrival to clarify when and where you will meet your driver and get their mobile number as the desk may be closed when you come out of the lounge.
