Latest Qantas Business Rewards offer:

open a Caltex StarCard account between 6 March and 30 April and link it to your QBR account to receive 10,000 bonus Qantas Points. No actual spend needed on fuel etc, and "Qantas Points will be credited to the Members' Business Rewards account within 90 days of qualifying"). Sign up at https://partner.caltex.com.au/starcard-debit/forms/starcardapp.aspx.


Also, Qantas has extended the free signup period for Qantas Business Rewards, it now runs through to March 14, after which the nominal $90 joining fee is supposed to kick back in.

I got the email from QBR this morning and delved into the T&C's


It's worth noting: 
  • There is a monthly fee of $2.95 per card
  • 2c per litre discount on standard fuels, 
  • 4c per litre discount on their premium products...
  • 1 QBR point per litre of premium fuels
  • 1 QBR point per 2 litres of standard fuels

A slight sting in the tail!

I got the email from QBR this morning and delved into the T&C's

It's worth noting:

  • 1 QBR point per 2 litres of standard fuels

A slight sting in the tail! 

However given that the average tank size is 60L, it would take a tank full and 14 litres to recoup that cost if you were to fill up with the premium fuels - and earn 74 (60+14) Qantas points in the process. I worked out it would be worth it if you fill up over 74 litres a month with premium fuels as I don't also have to worry about spending 30 dollars etc at woolies to get shopper dockets etc. For me the best feature was the road side assistance which was half the yearly price of NRMA (thats an option to cover the 2.95 cost) and 5% off in store purchases - my regular coffee now becomes cheaper and their ATO approved BAS/Tax invoices - a win for me!
