I have an upcoming flight BNE-SYD-AUH-EDI and return on the 1 ticket with Etihad (earning VA Frequent Flyers). I was wondering if I will be earning status credits on each sector of this ticket (e.g. 10 SC's on BNE-SYD, 40 SC's on SYD-AUH, then 30SC's on AUH-EDI) or if it all just lumps me into the one category of over 8000 miles for the trip givig me 50 SC's?

No you will earn status credits and points for each sector of the journey (and this is almost always the case on any airline)
