Is one-hour transit time enough in Hong Kong?

Anyone had experience with transitting to different airline (not in the same alliance and not checked in through the entire journey). Theres extensive info on transfers desks airside where you can check in and proceed with onward journey without going through immigration. How does this work with checked bags?

Search for "interline" with the respective airlines for baggage transfer information (and probably best to call to double-check). Many combinations are possible outside the 1W or *A groups, for example I have done LH to CX (pre-pandemic), but not generally with low-cost carriers.
