I imagine you might be Qantas Silver or above (likely Gold or Platinum)? When it comes to reward availability, ExpertFlyer shows what's available to all members only (i.e. Bronze flyers). When you search the same thing via the Qantas website, Qantas shows you what's available to all members (what ExpertFlyer can see) plus any specific reward seats which are being held for members of your status level or higher. It's one of the less-talked-about perks of Qantas status. :)(Even if you enter your Qantas Frequent Flyer in the ExpertFlyer settings page, this is only used when requesting seat maps for flights, not reward availability.)
no mate, i'm as bronze as the come!

agreed - something buggy going on at the moment (or it's changed since i last was searching for a holiday!). same with the SYD-DFW route. EF and QF partners (AA, Alaska, Asiamiles, Avios) all can't see the same availability as i can see as a QF bronze (online, and confirmed via phone agents). PITA!
