I understand if I am successful in bidding for an upgrade I would earn frequent flyer points (velocity) based on my original fare with I believe a small 10% bonus. What I would like to know however, is what level of status credits I would earn? A normal economy ticket would be 40 however a business is 160. Is anyone at all able to clarify this?

Greatly appreciated.

Henny.

Hi Henny

This will be based on initial fare class, so 40 in this case.
cheers

Thanks for that mate.

One other question,

There are two pax on my booking and only I am wanting to upgrade. Is this possible?

As I go through the earlier steps of the bidding process it seems as if the entire booking will be upgraded which I do not want all.

Not sure, I have mostly done both Pax upgrade or none.

May want to call velocity ff, they may be able to play around with the PNR and do something..

Just an FYI, the 10% bonus on upgraded Etihad flights is only for Etihad Guest members, not for Velocity members.
