How to choose which FF program to get the points of flights?

I have joined FF program for both Virgin Australia and Hainan Airlines. Normally, if I fly with Hainan Airlines, all the points and status credit goes to the HA FF. However, since HA is a partner with VA now. Just wondering, is it possible for me to choose which FF program I can accumulate points for a flight at the time I book the ticket?

Provided your intended frequent flyer number is on the boarding pass (either supplied at the time of booking or at check-in), and the flight is eligible for accrual, then you will receive the points and SCs (where applicable). Where the accrual has failed (either an invalid booking class or some other reason) then you should be able to credit the flight to a different program using a retro mileage claim.
