here is an update on our flight back to melbourne a couple of day's ago.
we flew two hours, Amman to Abu Dhabi in business (flat bed) and after a three hour layover, Abu Dhabi to Melbourne also in Business. The Lounge in Abu Dhabi is brilliant (the larger of the two lounges). comfortable and with an amazing array of delicious food and drinks.
both of the flights were absolutely excellent- the Flight Attendants were friendly, professional and helpful
The food was beyond excellent and everything we ate was delicious. I would happily fly with them again, but, unfortunately I see there are already issues booking using American Advantage miles, and as this is probably the only way we'd book these flights, we may have to look elsewhere.
If this is because you trying to book Etihad tickets now, its because the Etihad Frequent Flyer program is under service and will be not operating for 4 days or so.

no- I only use American Advantage miles to book Etihad and from everything i'm reading on forums- there are already problems
