You can earn VA points on AC flights but only if it's a codeshare, or did VA suggest something more?
The HKG lounge is there now....Hong Kong Airlines Club Autus Lounge, located on Level 7, Midfield Concourse Terminal (Close to gate 209) - right near the usual VA86 departure gate....

They also announced an update to the Android mobile app will be coming out "soon"... and that was almost 2 years ago.
