I will be QF Platinum flying QF J class to Sydney and my partner will be flying CX J class (flight departs an hour before me) to Singapore. Will I be able to bring him into First lounge as my guest? The rules are a bit vaguely worded and would like proper clarification from the experts on this forum!

You will be fine. You might have some issue with QF lounge but not CX and if you insist that they stick to the OW rule, they will have to yield.

As QF platinum, you can take you + 1 to the first class lounge at HKG
