I will be flying out to CAN end this week with CZ on a QF codeshare flight, economy class, being a QF SG member, I am wondering what benefits can I get?
I think CZ uses QF lounge at MEL, so safely speaking lounge access should be fine. (I do have plan to check out the new AMEX lounge too).
Apart from lounge, I'm not sure if I will be able to get priority check-in/boarding/baggage?
Also I've found no way to do online seat selection at this stage, neither 6 digits ref locator, nor the 081 ticket number recognisable by CZ's system.
Access to Qantas lounges is allowed for QF Club, Gold and Platinum cardholders on QF marketed services so the Melbourne lounge should be fine.
Aside from that the deal is simply that a codeshare deal. No other perks are officially awarded and no lounge access in China as well. You'll also earn points and status credits at the QF rate and that's about it.
If travelling Eco or premium eco, No CZ lounge access in Guangzhou...even as a Platinum QFF( I am doing the trip 4 times per year)
There is no way to skip immigration queue ( priority lane being on the far right, stay that side and if Crew/Priority counter is empty, you could be lucky :-) ), they can be very painful regarding luggage (Skyteam is 23kg each) and be ready for a long discussion to bring more (2+) or if you have packed heavy.
Priority checking counter is accessible, if you are lucky.
There is a kind of corridor Museum close to CZ lounge (right corner), feel free to have a look as Terminal A is uninteresting.
