I dont think duval leRoy is rubbish but it does appear much more than the others, or so is my luck.

I wonder if the defects you speak of is a new plane thing, i was on a CX A350 a few weeks ago and there was tape everywhere. Toilet was stuffed. Checked when i landed and it was under 6 months old.

As per A350 ... thanks. That’s really interesting. Kinda strange that’s acceptable to airlines. Consumers don’t wear that from car manufacturers these days....

Wow not good for a plane that costs US 317.4 million each

This is really interesting. I was on an SQ a350 a few weeks back and the way it rattled around as we taxied was astonishing. There were also a few things noticeably wrong .... fitting coming apart in the toilet, a leak in the galley. I'm sure the plane was less that a year old!

Perhaps surprisingly I've found JQ's 787s have been in reasonably good condition. All still relatively new of course, but a couple of years older than the Qantas examples. They've presumably had a slightly tougher life too! The only issue was with the window dimmer buttons, so perhaps the quality control problems are more recent?
