The best non-amex/diners is probably the ANZ rewards black. Twice a year they have excellent bonus offers when converting ANZ points to VA points (1.3x and 1.5x in the last year). That means you get plenty of VA points which you can then transfer to Krisflyer.
If youre looking for status the Amex Platinum charge offers a fast route to Krisflyer gold via Shangri La hotel status. Otherwise VA gold or Star alliance gold with another airline will also get you gold perks on Singapore flights
