Does anyone know when Thai Airways is planning to replace their B747's with A350's to Sydney. It was supposed to be earlier this year. Does anyone know why there is a delay?

They were also going double daily when they change to the A350.

I did a dummy booking a month or two ago when I read this and the 747 was in the schedule until March 19 which was the latest date I looked at. I think it was about a year after the 359 was originally due to start in MEL that is actually started

I've recently booked a BKK-SYD on Thai Airways for April 2019 and the equipment still says Boeing 747.

Thai grandees insist on First Class on the Bkk Syd route so the old girl 744 will hang around. Fly via Mel if in J to get a better seat and over night flight with morning connections or hotel check in.
