Hi- anyone with experience taking bikes on Emirates? Also whether the complimentary chauffeur will accomodate a bike or is there an extra charge? Thanks
The Emirates website is clear on the requirements for oversized luggage such as a bike.
In all cases, you need to notify Emirates at least 24 hours prior to departure.
For Destinations with a weight based allowance, the bike is counted as part of your allowance and the total dimensions must not be over 300cm.
For Destination with a piece allowance (North and South America), the bike is counted as one piece and the total dimensions must not be over 150cm (anything between 150 and 300cm will have an additional fee).
To get a larger car you simply need to make the request when booking, nothing is gaurnteed and some cities have an additional fee when ordering a larger car.
Ok great thanks, will be flying emirate ( on qf ticket) perth tp paris, so will obviously need the larger car both ends. Have tried to establish with qantas my needs but they are passing buck to emirates and visa versa.
