Farewell, lovely Queen of the Sky. You'll be sorely missed from Brisbane. I now have to go to Sydney to catch her to San Francisco, but it's worth the ride. I can take American Airlines across North America.

"Dreamliner", my foot. Someone should be sued for false advertising. The fuselage may be super dooper new technology, and they tell me the air is refreshed more frequently and the engines are quieter, but when it comes to the interior, where passengers dwell, I've seen sardine tins with more space and comfort. Yes, I have had the misfortune of travelling to Los Angeles on the Boeing 787 several times and in several class cabins. I dread the next time I have to take this newer rather ordinary plane.Oh how I, personally, will miss the Queen. I'll miss the space in the cabins, the unique comforting roar of the giant Rolls Royce engines, and the all-round reliability of this great plane that alone changed the coarse of passenger travel. None is her equal. Brisbane farewells you.

What's wrong with the A380 then? So much better and quieter than the old 747s.
