Just received an email from KrisFlyer, it seems they have finally listened to feedback. Effective immediately there will be more redemption options and upgrades from economy to business. The best change is wait listed redemption's will be confirmed 2 weeks prior to date of travel, this is the best change in my opinion. and gives the travellar certaintity. In the past ive been left with 1 or 2 days notice to arrange a ticket after my wait list was cancelled.

Waitlisted redemptions will not be confirmed 2 weeks before. They will be either confirmed or cancelled at that time, so this implies that you can't be on a waitlist inside 2 weeks out, making a reduction in benefit.
There's also increases in the number of miles needed for redemptions. So all taken, this is a negative change, only the weekly search being a good thing.
