Does anyone have experience being waitlisted with Asiamiles for business class redemption seats? What is the prospect for success?

Nah. I typically use Alaska miles for CX business. Sometimes Asia Miles shows "Waitlist", but Alaska agents on phone says they have tickets available. You can watch out for Alaska's frequent mile sale (up to 50% bonus sometimes.)

Prospect for success depends on your Marco Polo Club status and award availability. I was waitlisted on two CX flights for J from SYD-HKG and HKG-SYD. Didn't have status and waited for 3 months while monitoring availabiity on ExpertFlyer. Few days before the flight, ticket wasn't confirmed despite J cabin being only half full. There was availability on QF for an extra 5k miles each way so I took that instead. CX have really cut down on award availability in recent times.
