Emirates Chauffeur drive: changing destination address on points booking?

We have booked a business class trip Sydney to London using Qantas points with Emirates in August. We had already booked a chauffeur drive to Kensington. We have since cancelled that reservation and rebooked accommodation further to the action in Westminster Bridge Road. We tried to change the chauffeur service to our new accommodation but were told too late it would be a new booking which of course had to be made before the 1st March and not offering drives to awards bookings.

My question is should we cancel the driver and catch a taxi from Heathrow or keep the same booking and ask the driver to take us the additional distance, or if he would accept a cash payment for the difference.

Would be interested in your opinion.

Keep the booking. Tell the driver the change of address as you are leaving the airport. Shouldn't be any additional charge needed, as LHR to anywhere in central London is covered by the arrangement.

Unless I'm mistaken UK Chauffeurs give you a call a couple of days beforehand to confirm your details, I'm sure you'll be able to update it then
