I’m a Platinum Velocity member who flew LAX - BNE Business Class last Saturday. I wanted to have a meeting at the LAX Virgin Lounge (Emirates) with a guest flying Biz Air NZ who was in the terminal. My guest was denied entry to the Emirates lounge as he was not flying Virgin. Looking at the Velocity website I can’t see this policy detailed. Rang Velocity and was told entry was at the lounge staff’s “discretion” . Has anybody else had this issue or can they direct me to the policy? thx

Hi vertullo, details are here: https://www.virginaustralia.com/au/en/experience/at-the-airport/international-lounge-access/

"As a Velocity Platinum and Gold member you and your eligible accompanying guests will need to book a Virgin Australia or one of the above listed partner airline’s flight number to be eligible for lounge entry."

My coach was denied entry as they were a non-rev Virgin passanger.

I felt guilty leaving him out in the terminal.
