does anyone know whether the first lounge in Sydney will let you check in a bit earlier for the Syd - Dallas flight. Would like to use the spa if possible,but have the LAX and SIN flights before me so its a bit of bad timing. Thanks

If you're a Platinum with hand luggage only (no checked luggage) and have used online checkin and printed out your boarding pass then you can rock up as far in advance as eight hours, Qantas tells us.
Personally I think that's too much time to spend in any airport lounge, even one as good as the Qantas First lounge (yes, I know, that smacks of heresy!). But the earlier you arive the better your chances of snaring a spa booking. The challenge is that passengers travelling in first class on the LAX A380 service will already have booked their choice spa slots, but if you can get in an extra hour or two ahead of the rush that could make all the difference!

Otherwise they will be undoubtedly busy checking in pax for the LAX and SIN flights
