Hilton expands Canopy brand with eight new hotels

Hilton’s upcoming Canopy brand continues to boost its future footprint in the United States with the signing of eight new hotels including the Canopy Chicago The Loop, Canopy Dallas Uptown and Canopy Washington D.C. Southwest Waterfront.

Joining that list are the Canopy Minneapolis Mill District, Canopy Baltimore Harbour Point, Canopy West Palm Beach and Canopy New Orleans properties, along with the Canopy Denver Downtown hotel.

Targeting lifestyle-orientated business travellers, Canopy is built around four key pillars: location, uniqueness, one-stop service and included value-adds such as breakfast, wireless Internet and a welcome gift for all guests.

Joining Hilton’s portfolio of over 20 other Canopy hotels currently under development, the chain is gearing up for the opening of its very first location – the 115-room Canopy Reykjavik (Iceland) – in early 2016.

“Canopy is designed to reach a broad base of guests by providing a surprisingly comfortable and thoughtfully local stay with more included value,” said Canopy by Hilton Global Head Gary Steffen.

“Canopy by Hilton delivers a fresh approach to hospitality and the guest experience, and we are thrilled to partner with our loyal owners to bring the brand to life in these great neighbourhoods.”

Members of the Hilton HHonors loyalty program can earn and redeem HHonors points at Canopy by Hilton hotels, while Gold and Diamond cardholders also enjoy free space-available room upgrades.
