Conrad Hotels & Resorts will add a new luxury property to its growing portfolio in 2019 with the opening of the new-build Conrad Washington, D.C. hotel in the United States capital.

Part of an expansive ‘CityCenterDC’ development, the hotel includes 360 rooms among a broader 10-acre site with extensive ground floor retail space, along with 216 for-sale residential units and 458 other apartments.

Guests and visitors alike can dine upon menus by chef Bryan Voltaggio, known in the local area for his other restaurants such as Volt, Range, Aggio, Lunchbox and Family Meal.

“Conrad is known for creating inspired experiences for our guests in gateway cities and the most sought-after destinations,” said John Vanderslice, Global Head of Conrad Hotels & Resorts.

“Washington, D.C. is one of the few epicentres of political, cultural and economic power in the world, which makes this future hotel the perfect destination for global luxury travellers,” he added.

The hotel is expected to participate in the Hilton HHonors loyalty program, with benefits such as complimentary daily breakfast and space-available room upgrades offered to Gold and Diamond members.
