Beijing’s Wangfujing district will boast another luxury property come 2017 with the opening of the Mandarin Oriental Beijing Wangfujing hotel.

Located on the top two floors of the new ‘WF Central’ development, guests will enjoy views of the city’s skyline from their rooms and from garden terraces, styled to mimic a grand courtyard residence for socialising, entertaining and relaxing.

Some guests will also have excellent views of the Forbidden City, while all 74 guestrooms and suites will feature Mandarin Oriental’s signature in-room entertainment systems.

Beyond the rooms, guests can dine in two restaurants, relax in a bar designed to also welcome non-staying visitors and can take in a treatment at the on-site spa, focussing on rejuvenation and relaxation in a meditative setting.

There’ll also be an indoor swimming pool and a fitness centre, while the hotel is within walking distance of Tiananmen Square and the adjacent Forbidden City.

Mandarin Oriental also has a separate, 241-room hotel planned for Beijing with a scheduled opening date of 2016.

Guests can earn 1,000 Qantas Frequent Flyer points per stay on eligible bookings, or can instead earn points or miles with Air France Flying Blue, British Airways Executive Club, Cathay Pacific Asia Miles, Etihad Guest, Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club and more.
