Melbourne's Grand Mercure Swanston upgrades Executive Suites

Business travellers at the Swanston Hotel, Grand Mercure in Melbourne can look forward to refurbished executive suites -- with free wifi -- in the hotel's largest rooms.

You'll find a fully separate bedroom with a king sized bed, together with a full workspace with ergonomic chair and a large desk. Best of all, both wifi and wired Internet access are included with all the executive suites.

When it's time to relax -- or work with your laptop on your knees -- you have the choice of a long sofa with its own ottoman facing the flatscreen 40-inch TV.

On the walls, you'll find "original artwork which was individually selected from Melbourne's Rose Street Artist Market – one of Melbourne’s best kept secrets," hotel general manager Craig Bradbery explains.

The hotel is part of the Accor group, also home to the Sofitel, Pullman, MGallery and Novotel brands at the business traveller end of the market, plus numerous budget chains.
