New DoubleTree by Hilton Cairns hotel opens

The DoubleTree by Hilton Cairns is now welcoming guests through its doors as the second Hilton Group property in the regional city, aside the existing Hilton Cairns hotel.

Located at 121 The Esplanade and formerly the Holiday Inn Cairns, the 237-room DoubleTree by Hilton Cairns is perched on a prime waterfront location.

The seven-storey hotel offers guests a choice of floor-to-ceiling city, mountain or water views, along with an outdoor swimming pool and an open-air rainforest garden with a barramundi pond.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be found in The Atrium restaurant...

... along with drinks any day of the week in the Lobby Bar...

... plus 24-hour room service and a hotel gym to work it all off the next day:

Business travellers have access to a 24/7 business centre and a newly-refurbished meeting an event space with space for up to 160 people.

Along with its waterfront views, the hotel is just 500m from the centre of the CBD, 1.5km from the Cairns Convention Centre and 6.3km from Cairns Airport, with free self-parking – and of course, DoubleTree’s signature welcome cookie – awaiting all guests.

Don't forget to collect your warm cookie from the lobby when you arrive!

The DoubleTree by Hilton Cairns joins DoubleTree’s existing Australian properties in Darwin and Alice Springs, with two new DoubleTree hotels also on the way for Perth and Fremantle.

As a Hilton HHonors partner hotel, members can earn and redeem HHonors points, with Gold and Diamond guests enjoying perks like free in-room internet access and a free room upgrade, and all guests earning double points on stays through December 31 2014.
