Business travellers have a new option in Brisbane with the new Sebel Premium rooms at The Sebel & Citigate King George Square aimed squarely at the business market.

Sebel Premium replaces the previous Business Floor concept, between the tenth and fifteenth floors in the Sebel part of what is the biggest hotel -- and contender for "biggest mouthful of a hotel name" -- in Brisbane.

The Sebel Premium rooms are fully refurbed and modern, in a black-and-tan esthetic, with decently large desks and a comfortable -- though not obviously ergonomic -- work chair.

Two small armchairs face a small, round 1960s-style table for business travellers who prefer to skip the desk with their laptop.

It's not entirely clear with the massively fish-eyed lenses the hotel's PR pictures are using, but that table looks close enough to the side of the bed -- perfect for a bit of double-duty as an overflow for the surprisingly small side tables.

There are a few extra benefits that make the Sebel Premium offering an attractive one, including buffet breakfast in the morning and one item free from the minibar each night.

Bottled water, waffle-weave bathrobes and slippers, plus Mii Spa toiletries, round out the amenities in the rooms.

Just opposite City Hall in central Brisbane, The Sebel & Citigate King George Square is especially handy for travellers coming in from Brisbane Airport, an easy walk from either Roma Street or Central stations.
